If you miss taking the dose of pregabalin extended release tablets after an evening meal, then you should take your prescribed usual dose of pregabalin extended release tablets prior to bedtime following a snack.
If you miss taking the dose of pregabalin extended release tablets prior to bedtime, then you should take the prescribed usual dose of pregabalin extended release tablets following a morning meal.
If you miss taking the dose of pregabalin extended release tablets following the morning meal, then you should take the prescribed usual dose of pregabalin extended release tablets at the usual time that evening following an evening meal.
What if I take too much PREGABID CR?
There is limited experience with overdose of pregabalin. General supportive care of the patient is indicated including monitoring of vital signs and observation of the clinical status of the patient.
In the event of an overdose, it is reasonable to employ the usual supportive measures e.g. remove unabsorbed material from the gastrointestinal tract, employ clinical monitoring (including obtaining an ECG) and institute supportive therapy if required.
Can I discontinue PREGABID CR treatment?
Following abrupt or rapid discontinuation of pregabalin extended release tablets, some patients reported symptoms including, insomnia, nausea, headache, anxiety, and diarrhoea. Increased seizure frequency may occur in patients with seizure disorders taking pregabalin extended release tablets for pain if pregabalin extended release tablets is rapidly discontinued.
Taper pregabalin extended release tablets gradually over a minimum of 1 week rather than discontinuing the drug abruptly.
